For those of you not living in the buildings for the “tests” for the new lobby design, here are the current options. The photo is of the 4 color swatches (yes, all green!) for the vestibule and hallway. Keep in mind the doors and fixtures have all been painted a shiny dark black and the wallpaper are small, thin stripes of varying shades of green. If you want to see the paint swatches in person, you can enter the vestibules of 355 and 210, but keep in mind you are viewing these in a large, sun-lit space and the colors look very different in narrow, florecent lit hallways…
If you have comments or feedback that you would like to provide to the Board, which makes the decisions (I still haven’t found out who on the Board is the “lobby committee” so if you know, please let us know), you can email or call the management office or you can submit a comment card (assuming you have a comment box in your lobby).

New interior paint color options

O.K., I’m new to this issue, but why is green the only color being offered? How did this come to be?
I like green just as much as anyone else, but to paint the entire lobby area green…it feels very institutional.

NO to green, and NO F’N Way to wallpaper. WTF.
This was navy housing is it too much to ask for us to use navy blue on the doors and just paint the walls white, not cream. Ive asked to be on this committee and nobody responded too me. If anyone has any information please let me know because these choices suck!

I totally agree with you! Why don’t we embrace our Navy history and go for blue and white. It’s easy, clean, and would give our buildings more of an identity.
Seriously, the wallpaper is such a bad idea. Why are we installing decorations that will require more maintenance than paint. So stupid!

seriously, we need to all email Mr. Brown and the rest of the board. This is being handeled just like all other matters around here – it’s monopoly with this board and their agends. Mr. Brown has indicated he want’s the board to be more open and tranparant but all i see is more of the same – internal, closed, doing whatever they want having no accountability to the shareholders. we so need a change around here.

As a future owner, I’d have to agree with the rest of you. Not sure if green is the way to go, especially if you want to attract more buyers. I think representing the Naval history is a fantastic idea.
