Meetings Leave a Comment
After this month’s meeting, Resident Council meetings go on hiatus for July and August and pick up again in September.
Please come out to hear the latest news and voice your questions and feedback.
June RC Meeting
Thursday, June 25
7pm
Bldg 325 Community Room
(check back on Thursday to confirm location, may change to Bldg 210)
There are a number of musically talented residents at Clinton Hill Co-Ops.
If you haven’t seen her yet, you should. An in-house singer, songwriter and acoustic guitar player, Kristin Plater, will get you hooked on her fun and sentimental musical masterpieces. Check out www.kristinplater.com and videos like ”Why Not” and the “Stalker Song” or “Wonder Woman”.
Many a Saturday afternoon you can check out L.I.G. at Mirrors on Grand, usually from 4-8pm. L.I.G. (Love is God) is a funky 5-man band, playing a variety of funk rock covers. Band singer and guitar player is a resident of Clinton Hill Co-Ops for many years. L.I.G. is occassionally joined by other CHAOC residents, sitting in on guitar, or taking over the mike.
If you know other musicians residing next door, or you are a musician yourself. Drop me an email, include a picture, links, show schedule, or any other information and I’ll get you up in lights here on the blog!

For those of you not living in the buildings for the “tests” for the new lobby design, here are the current options. The photo is of the 4 color swatches (yes, all green!) for the vestibule and hallway. Keep in mind the doors and fixtures have all been painted a shiny dark black and the wallpaper are small, thin stripes of varying shades of green. If you want to see the paint swatches in person, you can enter the vestibules of 355 and 210, but keep in mind you are viewing these in a large, sun-lit space and the colors look very different in narrow, florecent lit hallways…
If you have comments or feedback that you would like to provide to the Board, which makes the decisions (I still haven’t found out who on the Board is the “lobby committee” so if you know, please let us know), you can email or call the management office or you can submit a comment card (assuming you have a comment box in your lobby).

Real Estate Agent, Resident, and CHAOC Board Vice President, Elaine Cooper, is also the CHAOC landscaping committee and has been directing the campus springtime gardening. The impatients are in, the shrubs are pruned, and dirt patches resulting from building maintenance are being reseeded. I really enjoy stepping into the courtyard with all its greenery. I hope, however, that we are saving the tulip bulbs and other long-lasting and costly flowers so that year over year we are not incurring new expenses without including the past ones (plus, what a great way to build fuller flower beds!)
Residents at the last meeting raised a desire, once again, to participate in the co-op committees. No news yet, but what do you think? (Green) thumb up or down?

If you or someone you know is elderly, handicap or otherwise impaired from walking the stairs in the building, you can voluntarily leave a name and apartment number with the security office (and management office). In case of emergencies - for example, a black out as we head into the summer – the security office can have this information on hand for themselves and to provide the police, fire, or other emergency service providers.
