Apologies! This is actually this coming Saturday (27 Feb)!
I’ve met so many amazing people that live in our co-ops and enjoy opportunities to support friends and neighbors. One of our own residents is playing in a funk band at 4pm on Saturday at Mirrors on Grand (284 Grand Ave, Clinton Hill), a great local bar owned by a Clinton Hill resident. (see postings about Mirrors on local ClintonHillBlog, Brownstowner, ClintonHillChill, etc or friend them on Facebook!)
Music and new friends are free, drinks aren’t but they are well priced and in a wonderful little bar.

It’s that time a year again where I’m partly glad to have mortgage interest payments to offset my taxes, and partly sad that I’m still paying off the interest! I’ve recently received an inquiry from a neighbor whose looking for some feedback from fellow CHAOCblog tax payers.
“Hello, does anyone know if it is possible for owners to qualify for the STAR
rebate? My CPA says that we don’t qualify if MGRE doesn’t pay real estate
taxes. Anyone know more about this?”

The Board has been working on a project to formally document key procedures that should be followed. This information is making its way to the CHAOC website (see link at right). No news on exactly what the procedures entail nor a date for them being posted, but keep an eye out and let us know if you see or hear anything!
